Take to the skies and find the world at your feet when you hop on board the big hot air balloon that have been the sign that summer has arrived for almost 30 years.

Find yourself on cloud nine as you enjoy breath-taking panoramic views as far as the horizon from up to 5,000 feet in the air, the only sounds those of nature and the occasional blast of the burners as you float almost silently and imperceptibly over the land below.

Is there a hot air balloon ride near me, you might ask? Well, with more than 100 stunning launch sites to choose from across England, Scotland and Wales, the answer is absolutely yes!

Once you come back down to earth, it's time to toast the hot air balloon experience of a lifetime with your fellow passengers and a celebratory glass of Prosecco.

Start Time

• AM - As early as 5am or as late as 8.30am, depending on sunrise times
• PM - As early as 4pm or as late as 6.30pm, depending on sunset times
• Day - Anytime between 8am and 3.30pm (selected times of the year)

We schedule hot air balloon rides morning and evening, seven days a week during the UK ballooning season, which is March to October. This does vary in some areas and in late October some flights will take place during the day due to limited daylight hours.

When

You get the same hot air balloon ride experience of a lifetime no matter which voucher you buy - the difference between the three options is when you can use them.

• Weekday Morning - Morning Flights, Monday to Friday
• Weekday Morning Or Evening - Morning or Evening Flights, Monday to Friday
• Any Day Morning Or Evening - Morning or Evening Flights, Monday to Sunday

All bookings are subject to availability and should be made around 6-8 weeks in advance.

Hot air balloon rides are fully weather dependent. If Balloons Over Britain has to cancel your booked flight for this reason, your vouchers are automatically extended to allow enough time to book again. Vouchers are non refundable should the ride be cancelled due to bad weather.

Who Can Go

• Weight supplements apply for those over 20 stone in weight or those over 18 stone and under 6ft tall
• Anyone aged 7 or over and at least 4ft 6in tall can fly in Those aged under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+
• If you're pregnant or have recently undergone major surgery, you can't fly in a hot air balloon but the operators will extend vouchers free of charge until you are able to do so.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date

What about Insurance?

The operators hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

All you have to do is pay for the balloon experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
