Hot Air Balloon Rides Over West Sussex (Petworth)

Located in the Chichester district of West Sussex, Petworth is a quaint market town with cobbled streets and independent shops. It sits in amongst the beautiful Sussex countryside making it a great launch site for a hot air balloon ride.

One of the sights to look for when launching from this site is Petworth House, an impressive National Trust property. Inspired by Baroque palaces of Europe, it's a 17th century house full of fine art treasures from Van Dyck, Turner and Gainsborough. The house sits in extensive grounds with formal gardens, woodland and a 700-acre park designed by Capability Brown with views of the South Downs.
