Taking off from Raglan
Raglan is a small village in Monmouthshire, Wales, located approximately 6 miles east of Abergavenny. The village is best known for its 15th-century Raglan Castle, which was once an important stronghold of the Welsh Marches. The castle was built for Sir William ap Thomas and his son, William Herbert, during the Wars of the Roses and played a key role in the conflict. Today, the castle ruins are open to the public and are a popular tourist attraction.
Llanarth is a nearby village in the county of Ceredigion, located approximately 5 miles north of the coastal town of New Quay. The village is situated in a rural area of rolling hills and farmland and is known for its historic church, St. David's, which dates back to the 13th century. The village also has a small primary school and a pub. The surrounding area offers scenic walks and outdoor activities such as fishing and horse riding.
